I have found that many machine knitters enjoy knitting both for new babies they
know and for new babies they don’t know.

Many machine knitters are called on to make baby afghans as presents for
newborns. They also enjoy knitting baby afghans as charity projects.
This collection of 9 baby animal afghans, knit with the garter carriage, was
made to help bring some variety to these knitters and comfort to the babies they
are knit for.
Two of the afghans (Little Lamb and Dilly the Dino) were first published in 2000. Frisky Filly joined the club in 2002. The remaining 6 are new in 2008 and were made after many requests.
