Cast on about 60 st with scrap and ravel.
K 1 row plain, then K1 row to program pattern.
Knit in tuck st to about RC350-380.
K 2 r plain.
Hang cast on edge, giving the scarf a 180 degree twist. The purl side
will face you on both ends. BO.
Steam press thoroughly.

These take about 10 min to knit and you can make a bazillion out of a
cone of 2/24.
When you put this on, it should pull on loosely over your hair. Place
the fold/twist at your front neck and it fills in the open neck of most
coats nicely. Can also be worn over the head. Will not smash your 'do.
Try different lengths and widths to see how much you want to cover at
the back of your neck. Also try one double the length - this one will
wrap around the head and the back of your neck. You may need to adjust
the width and length to siut your tuck pattern.
