abbreviations:
k = knit
p = purl
patt = pattern.
sts = stitches
wf = wool forward(as if you were going to purl the next stitch)
s1 = slip 1st onto right hand needle
psso = pass slipped stitch over the knitted stitch.
Cast on 36 sts
k 3 rows:
patt:
1st row: k3, *wf; s1; k1; psso; to last 3 sts, k3.
2nd row: k3, p; to last 3sts; k.
3rd row: k3, *k1; wf; s1; k1; psso; to last 4 sts k3.
4th row: k3, p; to last 3sts; k.
Repeat these four patt; rows, until you have a length required,
k3rows.
cast off.
note:: I always do an extra 4rows of patterning, as when this type of fibre becomes wet, it tends to stretch
widthways, making it more of an oblong.
