Garter-Carriage Turn-Around Cams
Two pieces of hard plastic or hours saved of your
time---that's what these turn-around cams are. They slip in the back of the
needle bed.
I've knitted multi-panel afghans, baby afghans, and sweaters
on the garter carriage using these cams. and I've never had a single bit of
mispatterning or skipped stitches.
If you look at the ends, they are shaped like the butt of the
needle. The garter carriage turning latch catches on that just as it does
the needle butt
and turns back to the opposite direction. The machine is
working just as it was made to work, only you get the benefit of saving time
and, thus, wear on the garter carriage.
I use them every time I knit with
my garter carriage.
